The Root Cause of Acne Vulgaris Can be Treated with Natural Acne Remedies

by Clarita Milles

What cures acne? This is a question many want to find an answer to, but not even scientists can provide us with an acne cure. Even so, keep reading about what triggers acne and home remedies to keep acne at bay.

The first change our skin experiences during the activation cycle is that a surplus of sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands. Hormonal changes and stress are the most common triggers of extra sebum. These glands are located in greater numbers on the mid back, chest, chin, nose and forehead, which is why we see acne breakouts appearing in these areas more than other parts of our body.

Sebaceous glands (which vary in size) are stimulated to produce sebum by hormones (specifically androgen hormones). In both sexes, androgens are also produced by the adrenal glands. During puberty and stressful situations, the adrenal glands release an surplus of hormones causing an enlargement of the oil glands.

A blockage of the follicle can occur due to the accumulation of sebum and dead skin cells. Whiteheads and blackheads are the most common comedones and are generally caused due to the build-up of oil and dead skin cells.

P. acnes (Propionibacterium acnes) are bacteria that are an element of the skins natural defense mechanism. The goal is to avoid attacks from other harmful bacteria. P. Acnes become trapped within the follicle or pore if these are clogged. The skin can become inflamed and irritated because P. acnes change their chemical structure within a blocked follicle.

Natural Acne Therapies

There are lots of at home remedies that do in fact work and it's a good way to avoid unnatural chemicals often found in pharmaceutical products. Here are some things you can try.

*Use essential oils in the evening, like, Tea Tree Oil, Bergamot Oil, Clove Oil, Lavender Oil, and Rosewood Oil. Clean your face in the morning with 100 % pure soap and water.

*Acne starts within your body, not simply on the surface of your skin. Therefore, it is vital to drink lots of water to detoxify your body and help clear your skin.

*You can also apply an oatmeal mask a couple of times a week to exfoliate skin and clean pores. Cook some oatmeal and apply the mask while the oatmeal is warm, wait for it to dry and then wash it away.

There are many varieties of at home solutions, some of which are effective, and some not. People that have more serious cases of acne however, such as cystic acne, usually turn to stronger non-prescription acne treatments.

Even though you can't use any OTC acne products to cure acne, you actually have alternative at home acne treatments that can help you clear acne. If you need something else, try natural skincare products like BIOSKINFORTE to help you deal with the toughest types of acne.
